Villa Description

Built of native stone and wood, and discreetly scattered over hillsides, cliffs and beaches, these cottages make you feel more like a guest in someone’s home rather than a tourist in a resort. Each one has stunning views of the breathtaking vistas of Petit St. Vincent and the southern Grenadines, while offering tranquility and privacy. Coming perhaps from the noisy, stress-filed world, waking up to the morning sounds of a private island is soothing: waves, birds and breezes greet you without the disruption of modernity. No TV, phones or Internet in the cottages give you ample room to enjoy the company of a good book, your own thoughts or a loved one.

INSIDE/LAYOUT

Covered pavilions create a large open air living and dining area between the two bedrooms, overlooking new decks and the beach, while offering perfect seclusion and shelter from the sun. Each bedroom has its own large bathroom. The master room boasts a king size bed and the second room is outfitted with two queen size beds.

BEDROOMS

The villa has 2 bedrooms. Both have been exquisitely designed and will be sure not to disappoint. Each room is spacious, practical and fit for a king! These jolly rooms fit in with the general feel of the house.

BATHROOMS

Each en suite bathroom follows the classic, prestigious style of the house. Each as luxurious and as practical as the other.

ENTERTAINMENT

 ipod music station, Flat screen TV that guests can use to play their own DVDs

The majority of our provisions are ordered on the mainland of Saint Vincent although there is an on island grocery store and fish market. Food and beverages can be pre-ordered prior to your arrival and menus, special dietary requirements and requests can be discussed before your vacation with the Villa rentals office. Order lists for food and beverages can be sent with your booking confirmation or alternatively you can wait until your arrival and discuss your preferences with the chef or the butler once on island. All shopping and food and beverage orders will be collected by your villa staff on your behalf and every effort will be made to meet your requests.

OUTSIDE

There are two bodies of water surrounding Mustique, the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The main beach is Macaroni Bay – this is the beach that you can see from Jasmine Cottage and has lovely waves and a grass area to picnic in. The other is Lagoon Beach which is on the quieter Caribbean Sea. It’s perfect for very small children and again has the perfect picnic area just in front of the lagoon. There is a path from this beach to secluded Geliceaux Bay which you can only reach by foot following the rocky path to the left. There are many other beaches on the island, not all of them suitable for swimming - look at the map.

Picnics are possible on any of the beaches. The best is Lagoon Beach where there is a barbeque which you can use. Dwayne will be happy to book this and arrange for the staff to get things ready on the beach.

FOOD AND WINE

The island has an elegant main restaurant and bar overlooking the harbour, where you can expect a fresh and varied menu cooked to perfection by our executive chef and his team. While centered on locally caught or grown ingredients, the menu includes imported high quality meats, wines and cheeses. The original iconic bar with its new adjacent wine cellar ensures you can whet your appetite with no shortage of fine wines and spirits on offer. For dinner the dress code is smart casual but jackets are never required and informal elegance reigns..
There are good restaurants on Union Island and Mayreau Island has a cafes across the water. Concierge can take you to these islands.;
