Villa Description

This little haven, overlooks Friendship Bay in private seclusion. A three bedroom villa with swiming pool, this is an open plan property in very private surroundings. The views are quite breathtaking crescent shape white sandy beach, small deserted off shore islands and waves breaking out on the reefs

Overlook is 0.5 km from the sandy shores of Friendship Bay and has beautiful views over the bay.

INSIDE/LAYOUT

Laid out over two floors. The living room is a large outdoor, covered, wooden decked room. The kitchen has double window which open to the out door deck. Master bedroom opens on to the out door deck and sea views. Second bedroom in the back has garden views. Lower floor accessed by a separate door beneath the house on the pool level has a sea view bedroom and en suite bathroom. thean Master bedroom. French doors to living veranda, shared bathroom

Two double bed bedrooms share a bathroom on the ground floor. They both have two single beds, dressing tables and large closets. One of these bedrooms opens onto the large veranda and enjoys spectacular views down to the bay.

A lower level double bedroom and en suite bathroom. A studio apartment below has its own entrance and opens straight onto the swimming pool deck.

The large kitchen opens on to the veranda and deck creating large space and feel of out door living. The kitchen is thoroughly equiped kitchen, the owner loves to cook.

There are stunning views over the Caribbean sea and the beach below from the kitchen and dining table.

OUTSIDE

Beautifully manicured gardens overlook Friendship Bay

Friendship bay is 10 minutes walk away, a quiet, reef protected beach, ideal for swimming. Views across to Mustique and the smaller Grenadine islands.

Moon Hole, another sparkeling white beach great for snorkeling and shell collecting is close by. Lower Bay and Princess Margaret are 10 minutes by car. Moon hole Beach is a 15 minute drive. SCUBA shops, markets etc in Port Elizabeth Harbour (shops and markets) is are 10 min drive.

From is position Overlook for its name sake looks over more than 20 Grenadine islands from south east to south west and Saint Vincent to the north - the master bedroom in particular enjoys all these views through its south wall which opens up entirely.

ARRIVAL AND STAY DETAILS

An open top taxi meets you at Bequia airport and it is a 15 minute coastal drive to Overlook villa. Transfers are payable locally. The housekeeper, lovely Verlene will be waiting to welcome you. She will show you around hand you the keys and leave you in peace to enjoy a swim and relax.

A meal can be prepared for your arrival and groceries ordered will have been packed away. The best local foods are Creole fish, jerk chicken, lobster, red snapper, black eye peas and rice, plantain, breadfruit and salt fish, spiced pumpkin and fruits are abundant. The neighbouring island St. Vincent has very rich and fertile soil. A ferryboat brings fresh produce each day.

Within 15 minutes drive from the house are tennis courts, scuba shops, a hobie cat sailing school, deep seas fishing charters, reggae rum shops, casual cafes and restaurants. Other fun and interesting islands; Mustique, St. Vincent, Canouan, Union, Tobago Cays. There are waterfalls, Disney film locations, 32 islands and cays of the Grenadines to explore, excellent reef snorkelling, exotic bird species, batik boutiques, animal sanctuaries and in St. Vincent the oldest botanical gardens on the western hemisphere.

GETTING THERE:

Map: Bequia is the second largest island in the Grenadines, 10 km South of St Vincent and 8 km north of Mustique. Drive from Bequia airport takes 15 minutes up through Port Elizabeth to Hope Estate.
Air: Private Jet to Canouan island just 5 minutes flight from Bequia’s airport. Fly to Barbados and Bequia airport has daily flights from here. Alternative with chartered plane would be Martinique, St Lucia, or Grenada. It is also possible to fly Barbados - St Vincent and then take the ferry.

RENTAL INCLUSIVE OF STAFF:

  • 1 House keeper who cleans the house and will be on-site 6 days per week. She will change linen, clean the kitchen, sweep and tidy up throughout the day.

If you require a full time professional chef we can make arrangements for you. 

Deposits

Reservations must be accompanied at the time of booking by a 25% deposit. However, a reservation cannot be confirmed until 8 months or 240 days prior to the date of arrival, at which time the 25% deposit becomes non-refundable. The remaining 75% is required 60 days prior to the date of arrival and is immediately non-refundable. Deposits on a villa rental will not be refunded if a visit is delayed or cancelled because of transportation difficulties. Guests are therefore urged to purchase travel insurance. The minimum period for a reservation is five nights. Over certain holiday periods, a further minimum stay may apply.
