Villa Description

The Ocean Breeze Villa sits on a steep incline high above coconut palm groves and two scenic bays. There are just three houses along this track that runs up into Spring’s hills. Ocean Breeze is the first one you reach. The views over the Bequia coast line are simply breathtaking.

In keeping with Caribbean building style, the house has a very open layout. Ocean Breeze was built in 1995 by fine local craftsmen. Stairs from the ocean facing veranda lead down to a covered plunge pool. A few steps further, in front of the house, the grandiose, brand new swimming pool and deck is all yours to enjoy. Relax cool under the sun, cocktail in hand, gazing at the ocean in the distance.

The house features two bedrooms with private baths, a fully-equipped open plan kitchen, and an open living and dining area. With the french doors open in the living room and bedrooms, the ocean breeze blows throughout the whole house. Additional guests can sleep on the convertible couch in the living room, or for an additional cost, in the new downstairs studio apartment. One of the highlights of the house is the expansive wrap-around covered porch. In fact, you may find that you never want to leave the porch with its spectacular view and constant breeze, its comfortable chairs, romantic dining and the perfect mexican style hammock.

For a third couple or a den for the kids, there is a self-contained apartment with its own private entrance comprising a double bedroom and a shower room located under the main house. The studio can be rented as an addition to the house.

In the high season, the main two-bedroom house is $2,000 (U.S.) per week. The optional third bedroom come to $500 per week. During the low season (after Easter and through November), the rental price is discounted by 25%.

Beach & Garden

The Ocean Breeze House is on the Spring Estate high on the quite hills of Bequia from where views onto magnificent reefs are breathtaking. Closest beaches are Spring Bay and Industry a 2/3 minute drive. Lower Bay and Princess Margaret are 15 min drive. Port Elizabeth Harbour (shops and markets) is a 10 min drive
The house is set on 1/4 acre of tropical garden, private and quiet.
Spring Bay is stunning and on a settled day in the winter months good for swimming. Set within the huge coconut grove it makes for a lovely walking grounf too. Industry Bay is great for snorkeling. Fantastic swimming beaches are within 10 minutes drive away.

Restaurants

There are two nearby restaurants ( Spring Hotel and Cresent Beach Inn) both 5 minutes drive away. Over 25 more restaurants are within 10 minutes drive away.

Transfer to the villa: Grenadine Escape will arrange for a traditional open style taxi (fits 6 passengers plus luggage) to meet guests at the airport and transfer you to the villa where the house staff await you. The taxi fare should be paid directly to the taxi driver (USD 25-30)

RENTAL INCLUSIVE OF:

RENTAL INCLUSIVE OF STAFF:

  • 1 House keeper who will change linen, clean the kitchen, sweep and tidy up throughout the day.

Deposits

Reservations must be accompanied at the time of booking by a 25% deposit. However, a reservation cannot be confirmed until 8 months or 240 days prior to the date of arrival, at which time the 25% deposit becomes non-refundable. The remaining 75% is required 60 days prior to the date of arrival and is immediately non-refundable. Deposits on a villa rental will not be refunded if a visit is delayed or cancelled because of transportation difficulties. Guests are therefore urged to purchase travel insurance. The minimum period for a reservation is five nights. Over certain holiday periods, a further minimum stay may apply.
